Medium: Lithograph in colours, circa 1956, on BFK Rives watermarked paper, signed by the artist in the stone and in pencil, with publishers embossed stamp below left of the edition “Maeght Editeur”, with wide margins.

Edition: An edition of 300
There was also a double page lithograph made for “Derrier la Mirror” of this work , on thin paper, with a central fold and no margins.

Note: The original painting of this work is slightly different from the Aquatint. It can be found in the Catalogue Raisonee number 153 on page 201. This work is part of a series of lithographs and etchings that were based upon Braque’s original watercolours, gouaches and paintings. Braque was very involved in the printing process, overseeing the lithographer and correcting the proofs when necessary.
